ROBINSON FREDERICK

One of the most fun ways to get a peek into another person’s life is to experience their city like a local would -- with a homebase in a their space. LifeSwap takes the fun of living how a stranger does one step further. We’ve teamed up with AirBnB to give you a taste of what it’s like to step into someone else’s shoes. We can safely say that this is the best giveaway of any SXSW party around.

Final Farewell

Day 4 is about the word on every marketer’s mouth. Everyone’s focusing on it, but it’s not a focused word. What does it mean exactly? Why does it matter? And how do we do it right? Attend small group workshops about mobile ads, mobile responsive site and mobile app development. Learn about the rapid rise of mobile browsing (and what that means to us) in our interactive globe installation. And hear from Ruth McCarthy, Founder of Mobili Media, about how to get caught up -- and then get ahead.

WHY WE LOVE BRAZIL!

The founders of PUNTO Space have come to believe that one of the only things better than being in Brazil, is the Brazilian culture right here in the heart of New York City, and this year, we're going to celebrate!

Let's start by doing the math! PUNTO Space, a three-level raw space in NYC's Theater and Fashion District has Brazilian roots and ties to Group .BR, which is currently the only Brazilian theater company in NYC!  When we did the math, we realized this was a perfect match.

Please join us for this RSVP only Open House to celebrate the Brazilian independence and culture that thrives right here in our home away from home.  It just wouldn't be the same without you!

I got my first point-and-shoot camera in 2007, when I moved from Brazil to France. Since then, I've been lucky to live in and travel through many cities, and photography has become a way for me to not only create memories, but also show my view of the world.

#TakeASelfieOnMe is a durational interactive performance.

The idea came from my observation on how people have been interacting with art. Two things sparked the conception of the performance: the relationship between the amount of time spent looking at the art versus the time spent looking at the picture of the art and how much people want to be part of that picture.

The costume is made of different mirrors where viewers are always reflected. When the viewer takes a picture, knowing or not, he/she becomes part of the art. Knowing or not, it is always a selfie.

Data Driven Marketing

We’re capturing more data than ever before. And we’re doing it more precisely. But we’re still not using data to its full potential. Used well, numbers can teach us about each other, inspire our creativity and help us take risks and innovate in our work.

One highlight of the day: Peer Exchange sessions, where you can learn about the interesting ways people are using data in the industry. And don’t miss James Frederick’s impressive presentation about a rare skill -- data design.

Do Well, and Do Good

How do we find meaning in marketing? Is it possible to do more in this industry than help companies sell stuff?

Sure is. Howard Fowler of Tunate Consulting will explain how marketers can use our insights and knowledge about the customer to influence and improve the bigger business strategy.

“Por te falar eu te assustarei e te perderei? mas se eu não falar eu me perderei, e por me perder eu te perderia.”
